Mischief Farm Sales Program

 

 

Purchase and Lease Process

 

Client hires Mischief Farm to assist in the purchase or lease of a horse.

​

Mischief Farm will do the following:

• Search online and speak to our many contacts in the industry to find prospective horses

• Speak with the horse's owner, trainer, or agent to get more information and to determine if the horse is an appropriate match

• Accompany client to see and test the horse

• Assist in the process of making an offer and/or negotiating to purchase or lease the horse

• Arrange a pre-purchase veterinary check

• Arrange for transport of the horse

For these services Mischief Farm charges a commission of 12% of the final purchase or lease price.

​

For those clients who commit to three months of full training at Mischief Farm with purchase or lease of a horse, the commission will be 10%.

For those clients who commit to six months of full training at Mischief Farm with purchase or lease of a horse, the commission will be 7.5%.

Sales Program

 

Client hires Mischief Farm to sell or lease out a horse.

​

Mischief Farm will do the following:

• Take photos videos to use for promoting the horse

• List horse online (paid advertising is at owner's expense) and also speak to our many contacts in the industry about the horse

• Handle all contact with prospective buyers and vet them in a phone interview to make sure it is an appropriate match

• Prep and show the horse to prospective buyers

• Arrange for the horse to attend shows while for sale (at owner's expense)

• Assist in the process of buyers making an offer and/or negotiating

• Arrange a pre-purchase veterinary check, contact veterinarian about sharing records

For these services Mischief Farm charges a commission of 12% of the final sale or lease price.

​

For those clients who continue on with Mischief Farm, after we have sold their horse, and purchase a horse within three months of the sale, the commission will be 10% on their future purchase.

​

When an outside horse, not currently at Mischief Farm, is brought in for sale, a full training program is recommended.  This ensures the horse is in the best condition and can be shown as such to prospective buyers.  Please contact us to find the best fit for you and your horse.
